Oxford College is seeking to hire a

Program Coordinator for the Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician program

. The Program Coordinator would primarily be responsilbe to oversee the day to day operation of the program delivery in all our different campus locations. The primary ambition for this role is to ensure that instructional faculty and staff are equipped with the tools, skills, and knowledge required to foster an educational environment that is responsive, differentiated, and valuable for students. The individual is primarily responsible to ensure that the standards of academics and program quality are maintained. In addition to the management of the program delivery, the Program Coordinator would also be responsible for the ongoing development of the program curriculum.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Conduct a global evaluation of the program to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

Review and updating of all course materials including syllabi, outlines, and assessments

Provision of instructional resources including textbooks and learning resources to faculty

Periodic monitoring of quantitative and qualitative indicators of student satisfaction through various evaluation and feedback data

Generation and review of statistical reports concerning instructor/student evaluations

Advise on issues in ongoing project or didactic-related communication

Support of academic standards and quality enhancement

Analyze Oxford College's academic data, including assessments, attendance, reports and other academic areas

Produce concise and accurate reports to the Academic Department in raising standards of performance for students who are not achieving or maintaining academic success

Provide reports from feedback and evaluation for the purposes of module and program enhancement plans

Ensure processes are in place for the appropriate handling/maintenance of all training equipment used in the practical training of the program

Ensure instructor records and qualifications of instructors meet the demands of the industry and set Oxford College at a competitive advantage

Ensure a regular cycle of feedback from students, staff and industry experts is reported

Provide action plans for underachieving students, including provision of extra help, resources for language

improvement, resources for computer training and other assistance in both theory and clinic to help maintain and improve retention rates

Update the program as per the feedback provided by students

Maintain compliance requirements of any third party accrediting and cooperating agencies (ie. CSMLS, MLPAO, and EQUAL Accreditation standards)

Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training areas

Ensure that board exam results are favourable by conducting and practicing board exams at designated intervals prior to graduation

Monitor instructors to ensure that all classes are conducted on time

Resolve any issues from students or instructors within a 48-hour time period

Work together with the Academic Department to audit student files and ensure that students have received all necessary documents, including textbooks, electronic books, uniforms, kits, and supplies

Creation, implementation of mandatory Professional Development seminars (annual)

Creation of literary sources for instructors

Feedback and support regarding instructor concerns

Additional tasks as required
