Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Medical Escort to join our team. The Medical Escort plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of patients within the hotel or healthcare facility. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both patient and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in moving to and from bed to chair and chair to bed
• Provide support to patients during their transport, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding patient needs and any concerns that may arise during treatment
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
• Help with transportation to dialysis

Skills

If possible speak or understand Cree - Not a must have but would be nice

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients and provide emotional support.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle potentially stressful situations with professionalism.
• Physical capability to assist patients as needed, including lifting or supporting them when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (preferred)
