Welcome patients, answer incoming calls promptly and in a courteous and professional manner.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow.
Handle patient registration, check-in, and a verify OHIP insurance information.
Verify and update patient demographics on EMR
Schedule and process new patients according to office protocol
Resolve areas of conflict effectively and professionally
Confirm scheduled appointments
Receive and process payments from patients by debit, cash, cheque or Visa
Maintain an organized, clean and efficient work area
Additional duties as required
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Knowledge of and experience with EMR (electronic medical records software)
Two year of relevant experience in a health care environment
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work effectively and demonstrate composure in a fast paced and changing environment
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills a MUST
Must be a team player
