Canopy Health is a multidisciplinary practice located in the heart of Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. We have proudly served the community for over 12 years and are a busy Midwifery and Nurse Practitioner-led Primary Care Centre, working alongside Allied Health providers.
We are a fast-paced, supportive clinic looking for Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) to join our team. We are seeking both full-time and part-time employees with MOA certification who can cover a 5 week vacation coverage with the possibility of long-term employment.
As an MOA at Canopy Health, you will play a key role in daily operations, working with sensitive health information in a busy environment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and enjoy working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Position Details
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (37.5-40 hours/week)
Start date: ASAP (Fall 2025)
Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00/hour, depending on experience

Desired Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 and graduation from a 1-year Medical Office Assistant program OR one (1) year of recent, related MOA experience
MOA certification preferred
Previous clinical office experience is an asset
Familiarity with OSCAR and Jane EMR systems is an asset
Position Requirements
Strong verbal and written English communication skills (additional languages an asset)
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical office procedures
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and manage deadlines in a busy environment
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy (PIPEDA certification required; will be supported if not yet obtained)
Key Responsibilities
Manage NP waitlists and attach new clients to NP care
Schedule patient appointments for 3 NPs (full-time) and 4 RMs (full-time) using OSCAR and Jane
Respond to patient phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
Maintain records, files, and charts with accuracy and confidentiality
Send referrals and track follow-ups with specialists
Manage and communicate patient results (labs, radiology, pathology)
Create and maintain eForms, lab requisitions, and referral templates as needed
Provide administrative support to practitioners (letters, reports, scanning, faxing, uploading charts)
Oversee clinic operations, including mail retrieval, laundry, disinfecting, stocking, and supplies management
Communicate with other clinics, pharmacies, law offices, and healthcare providers via phone, fax, and email
Schedule and coordinate tests and procedures (e.g., ultrasound, PAP tests, specialist appointments, pharmacy requests)
Other duties as assigned by NPs and RMs
