Medical Assistant/customer Service Representative

Job Description

Canada Vein Clinics is looking for a full-time customer service representative/call centre agent/ medical assistant to work in our clinic located in Ottawa. We are looking for a motivated, self directed individual who works well independently within a team setting.

Duties include:



Greeting and assisting patients as they call or enter the clinic Keeping the reception area organized Helping the nurse and the doctor with different procedures, understanding aseptic techniques Assist the nurses on getting clients ready for treatments (i.e. , getting consent forms filled out, taking pictures, cleaning in between procedures, taking payments, sending receipts) Answering incoming phone calls Converting new callers to consultations (training provided) Calling referrals to set up appointments Scheduling appointments - consultations, procedures, ultrasounds Confirming appointments 1-2 days before booking time. Daily reporting to the Clinic Manager Use of Microsoft Office, Email, Internet Marketing Other duties as assigned

Qualifications needed:



At least

1 year office admin experience

or Call Center experience preferred Prepare

Ability to multi-task in a very busy environment Excellent phone manner Willingness to learn Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Excellent organizational skills Professional manner with engaging with patients on the phone/in person Ability to interact with a multi disciplinary team Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Email Experience using Simms would be an asset, but not necessary Responsibility to assist with overall efficient operations of the office.

Salary: $18.00 to $19.00 /hour
