Job Description
The Medical Assistant will perform medical tasks delegated by the attending physician and providing care to walk-in and family practice.The Medical Assistant must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of general medicine, be familiar with EMR, and function effectively in a clinic setting, work effectively independently or as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.Qualifications
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Accuro EMR experience and technology efficiency are assets
- Community Family Practice/Walk-in Clinic experience an asset.
- Exceptional clinical assessment skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative
- Demonstrated ability to analyze clinical information and make decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Politely and empathetically communicate with patients regarding their plan of care.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and safely.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a fast paced environment
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Milton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
