Medical Administrator/Receptionist

to join our

Community Health Centre

team.



The Medical Administration/Receptionist provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of clinical services within the Health Centre. This role is often the first point of contact for clients and plays an important part in creating a welcoming, organized, and professional environment for all patients and visitors.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:





Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for all clients, visitors, and callers, ensuring a positive first impression of the Health Centre.
Register clients in accordance with Community Care's CHC procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed accurately and signed.
Schedule client appointments and ensure client information is entered accurately and completely into the electronic medical record (EMR).
Respond promptly and courteously to client inquiries via telephone, email, or in-person, providing clear and helpful guidance.
Handle client concerns, questions, or requests professionally, escalating to clinical or administrative staff as appropriate.
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards at all times.
Provide routine data entry, word processing, and computer support to CHC departments and personnel.
Ensure the reception and waiting areas are organized, welcoming, and comfortable for clients.
Support continuous improvement in health, safety, and quality of service delivery.
Assist clinical staff by preparing documents, coordinating information, and supporting smooth clinic operations.
Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other organizational activities as required.


KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:





Post Secondary education in medical office administration.
Previous experience in a busy medical office preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication
Excellent customer service skills
Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office and data base applications
Experience with electronic medical record - PS Suite an asset


COMPENSATION:





The wage range for this exciting opportunity is

$20.30 - $22.24

Selected candidates will be appropriately placed on the organizations wage grid based on skill, knowledge and experience.*
