Department of Communication Studies & Media Arts invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2023-24 session.

Course Name/Number MEDIAART 3BB3 \xe2\x80\x93 New Media Art Practices Projected Enrollment: 75 Number of Sections Available: 1 Projected TA Support: 1 @130 +3 hours (each) Wage Rate: $8,056.37 as per schedule A of the current Collective Agreement. Number of Units per Section: 3

Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties This course offers a critical perspective on theories and practices of contemporary media art through screenings, production-based projects and field trip engagement with new media work.
Three hours, one term
Required Qualifications
Professional and educational background in the field, plus experience in classroom teaching. Applicants should have a PhD or be near completion of a PhD in Media Arts or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a completed MFA or doctoral degree or are near the completion of an MFA or doctoral degree, in Media Arts or a related field. Previous teaching experience in media arts is preferred.
