Media Matters is looking for an experienced Media Sales Development Representative who is motivated, smart, energetic, and looking for an opportunity with a growing, profitable and dynamic company.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both print and digital sales, identifying leads, developing strategic and creative recommendations, booking opportunities in a media specific CRM, and working with graphic designers/editorial teams.
Description
Validate existing information and obtain new customer information such as name, address and email and enter information into computer
Describe products or services, in order to persuade potential customers to subscribe to magazine or purchase advertising space
Explain products or services and answer questions from customers
Develop customer focussed strategic and creative recommendations (sales proposals) across multiple platforms
Requires a significant amount of outbound calls in order to identify key players, qualify business opportunities and schedule discovery meetings
Develop highly targeted outbound email/drip campaigns to generate sales opportunities

Qualifications
A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related business or marketing field and / or equivalent business development or sales experience in both print and digital sales
1 - 3 years of experience working in a similar role in a media company or publishing environment desired
Compensation will be a draw on commission with unlimited earning potential
