CBCL is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Technologist to join our Buildings Engineering team in Moncton, NB!

As our ideal candidate, you have expertise in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, building systems controls and commissioning; as well as energy efficiency and renewable energy design and assessment. You?re a motivated self-starter, who?s excited to participate with an established team of professional engineers and technologists in developing innovative multidisciplinary building design solutions, with an emphasis on client satisfaction and green building design practices.
Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare contract documents for the following systems: HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and building systems controls;
  • Coordinate with design staff across multiple disciplines;
  • Report project progress to Project Managers;
  • Provide input into construction cost estimates;
  • Perform construction administration and field reviews;
  • Document, plan, and, conduct commissioning and start-up activities;
  • Participate in energy efficiency and renewable energy studies;
  • Prepare technical RFQ documents, technical review of bid submissions, and review of vendor documentation following award.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:
  • A diploma in Engineering Technology preferred;
  • One (1) to Ten (10) years of experience;
  • Experience working in a consulting environment would be considered an asset;
  • Thorough working ability with AutoCAD software with above average drawing production capabilities, knowledge of Revit would be considered an asset;
  • Develop engineering drawings packages in accordance with standards and best practices;
  • Ability to effectively communicate and thrive in team environments;
  • Proficient at multi-tasking and work diligently to meet time-sensitive deadlines;
  • Hold a valid driver?s license and willingness to travel to job sites.
