This is an exciting opportunity to join the WSP Buildings Mechanical & Electrical team in our Saskatoon office as an Intermediate Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist. You will collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams in the application of plumbing, drainage, HVAC, and fire protection design knowledge for a wide range of projects spanning the commercial, residential, institutional, industrial, and educational sectors.

What you can expect to do here:

Collaborate with senior staff to design and coordinate mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection). Create and update technical drawings using Revit or AutoCAD. Perform calculations for heating, cooling, ventilation, and water systems. Prepare construction design packages and project specifications. Support engineering studies and compile clear, actionable reports. Build strong relationships with engineers, technologists, and construction teams. Coordinate with other disciplines to meet project deadlines. Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries during construction. Assist with contract administration, including change orders and payment certificates. Conduct site surveys and routine construction reviews to ensure quality.

What you'll bring to WSP:

Mechanical Engineering Degree or a Mechanical Technology diploma P.Tech with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan or ability to obtain 3+ years related experience Ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads and expedited timelines Proven working knowledge with Revit or AutoCAD software is an asset Familiarity with applicable codes and standards including, but not limited to, the National Building Code, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA is considered an asset
