Position Overview

:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Mechanical Technician

to join our production team. This role involves hands-on work with mechanical assembly, quality control, and product testing within our production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, providing feedback on product performance, and assisting with troubleshooting and repairs. The position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams to improve product designs and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

:

Mechanical Assembly

: Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to engineering specifications and drawings. Ensure precision and quality standards are met during assembly.

Quality Control

: Perform inspections and tests on assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and function properly. Document and report any defects or discrepancies.

Product Testing

: Conduct hands-on testing of assembled products and equipment to verify functionality, durability, and safety. Use testing equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Feedback to Engineering

: Provide valuable feedback to engineering and product teams based on your hands-on experience during the assembly and testing process. Suggest design improvements, enhancements, and modifications as needed.

Maintenance & Repairs

: Assist in the repair and maintenance of equipment within the production facility, identifying and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.

Collaboration

: Work closely with the engineering team, production managers, and other departments to ensure efficient production and product quality.

Documentation

: Maintain accurate records of assemblies, tests, and repairs. Document changes made during the assembly process and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

:

Experience

: Previous experience in mechanical assembly, product testing, or a related field.

Skills

: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Computer proficiency, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is also required.

Technical Knowledge

: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Familiarity with blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.

Communication

: Ability to effectively communicate with engineering teams and other staff.

Education

: High school diploma or equivalent required. A background in mechanics, diesel mechanics, or farming would be an asset.

Physical Requirements

: Ability to lift, move, and assemble mechanical components. Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to machinery.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
