Job Description

We currently have exciting opportunities within our Pulp & Paper Division operations for Mechanical Technician Students to join our teams in Saint John and Utopia, New Brunswick, for the Winter 2025 Work Term.Qualifications:

• Education Required: High School Diploma, enrolled in a 2-year Mechanical Technology program and in good academic standing
• Years of Experience Required:

2 years * Problem-solving skills

• Team player with excellent interpersonal skill

What You Can Expect from Your Work Term:

• To provide optimal work experience in all aspects of the Mechanical trade in a safety conscientious environment
• Perform quality mechanical maintenance activities in a flexible teamwork environment dedicated to continuous improvement
• Students will assist qualified tradesmen in their day-to-day activities
• May be responsible at some locations for conducting tours and carrying out inspections
• Prevention maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvement
• Pulp and paper or heavy industry experience would be considered an asset

This position will be based on-site at one of our 4 mill locations. We have 3 mills located in Saint John, NB and the 4th is located approximately 45 minutes outside of the city in Utopia, NB.
