Intermediate-Senior Mechanical Technician (x4) - Montreal
We are currently searching for four Intermediate-Senior Mechanical Technicians to join our Satellite Systems team in Montreal. This is a permanent, on-site role focusing on skilled work related to Material Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and other complex systems.
Important Note: The successful candidate must be fluent in French and must obtain and hold a security clearance (either reliability status or SECRET status level II) and pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

Openings: 4 positions (2x Day shift, 2x Evening/Weekend shifts)
Salary Range: $67,000 - $83,000
Starting pay for minimum experience (2-3 years) is around $67k. The higher end ($80k) generally requires about 10 years of experience.
Work Schedules
All successful candidates will undergo a mandatory training day schedule for approximately two months (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM).
Day Shift - Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Work 37.5 hours
Evening Shift - Monday to Wednesday, 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM (midnight), and Thursday until midnight - Work 37.5 hours
Weekend Shift - Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM - Work 33 hours, paid for 37.5 hours
Core Responsibilities
Working under the direction of senior personnel, the technician will perform tasks related to established methods and processes, often using written instructions or general directions.
Assembly and Maintenance: Assemble or modify test models, experimental setups, and Material Ground Support Equipment (MGSE). MGSE is non-flight hardware that holds and supports the satellite during testing.
Testing and Repair: Perform installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of equipment, subsystems, and systems. This includes participating in testing under supervision and performing periodic maintenance.
Documentation: Record results of tests or experiments and read/interpret technical drawings.
Design Support: Research and recommend parts or components for special tests and test fixtures, and collaborate with engineers on MGSE design issues.
Compliance: Perform work according to internal procedures and strictly follow health and safety rules and the assembly drawing plan.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Education: College Diploma (DEC) or equivalent in mechanical, aeronautical engineering, or a related field. A relevant combination of other experiences/education may be considered.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written French is required.
Security: Must successfully obtain the required security clearance and pass the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of English (an asset, as reports are prepared for the Ontario head office).
Good knowledge of CAD software.
Knowledge of Metrology
