Your tasks

As a

Mechanical Technician

, you will be responsible for mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, inspections, and repairs for our customers, who are mainly located in Eastern Canada. Your role also includes writing technical reports and taking emergency calls on a rotating basis with the team. You will play a major role in customer satisfaction by working on a variety of mechanical installations and ensuring rigorous follow-up.

Summary of tasks

Maintenance and interventions

Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic installations in accordance with current standards Identify, document, and correct any anomalies detected during inspections

Customer support and emergency management

Respond to customer emergency calls and intervene quickly to resolve issues Provide a post-delivery inspection service to ensure the compliance of installations

Technical collaboration and follow-up

Conduct technical research in the event of specific requests (non-standard modifications, technical innovations, etc.) Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, or site supervisors during customer interventions

Quality assurance and after-sales follow-up

Participate in the management of deficiencies and warranties after delivery Contribute to various customer service programs by providing adequate technical assistance

Reports and compliance

Write and file intervention reports, while keeping customer requests up to date

Other

Represent the company during courtesy visits to customers, and ensure that a professional and trusting relationship is maintained

Your profile

Education and qualifications

Relevant degree 5 years of experience in a similar position

Skills and experience

Advanced French, both spoken and written Intermediate English, both spoken and written Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic plans Technical skills in electromechanics (an asset) Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex mechanical problems on site, including in emergency situations Ability to accurately document interventions, anomalies, and actions taken, with clear and structured reports Ability to prioritize emergencies and plan interventions based on customer needs, while optimizing travel Focus on customer satisfaction with a proactive approach to solving problems and meeting needs Attention to detail and compliance with safety and quality standards in all interventions Ability to adapt to the unexpected, whether emergencies, changing working conditions, or technical adjustments Although often alone in the field, ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members to share information or feedback

Valid driver's license without restrictions Valid passport without restrictions Interest in working outdoors and at heights Willingness to travel, sometimes for several consecutive days Availability to work occasionally on weekends and if needed
