We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Technician in Concord, ON to support equipment reliability and efficient production operations in our advanced manufacturing facility. This role is essential in maintaining, repairing, and improving plant systems, machinery, and tooling to ensure smooth and sustainable performance. The successful candidate will work within the Maintenance Team, executing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, troubleshooting issues, and performing hands-on repairs on production and support equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and familiarity with fabrication tools and shop-floor machinery. Millwright experience is an asset. This position operates within our in-house machine shop as part of a collaborative, multi-skilled engineering team focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on all systems, machinery, equipment, and tooling, including scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective actions such as restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing components.
Troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with the Maintenance and Production teams to return equipment to service promptly.
Inspect equipment regularly and ensure all maintenance data and records are accurately documented.
Recommend and implement adjustments to machinery to enhance reliability, uptime, and production efficiency.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities in compliance with company health and safety standards.
Accurately document and report all maintenance activities and findings.
Coordinate and work effectively with contractors and external service providers on site.
Support installation, modification, restoration, and repair projects for production equipment.
Measure and compute dimensions and tolerances using tools such as calipers, height gauges, and vernier instruments.
Interpret technical drawings (GD&T) and electrical schematics to perform precise maintenance and adjustments.
Safely operate overhead cranes, man-lifts, scissor lifts, and other lifting equipment as required.
Follow established quality procedures and work instructions within the department.
Perform additional maintenance-related duties and projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (optional); a valid Millwright license is an asset.
Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Proven industrial maintenance experience with strong mechanical and millwright skills; electrical experience considered an asset.
About 3 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with automated production equipment, robotics, CNC machines, PLC systems, and press shop operations.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on minimizing downtime and managing risks.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings (GD&T) and electrical schematics.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to respond to urgent maintenance needs.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, shop-floor environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
