McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a

Mechanical Supervisor

to support our maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Prepared Foods is looking for a motivated leader to lead and develop our Industrial Mechanics team to maximize overall safety, food safety and reliability.

Accountabilities

.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



Direct management of mechanical, and dual-trade employees; coach, assign work, validate/audit completed work with regular feedback, identify/provide development opportunities, and employee performance assessments. Work and promote a safe working environment; perform and audit Safety Talks, verify employee Job Safety Plans, and recognize and correct safety hazards. Coordinate/manage contracted repair services; review of Job Safety Plans and permits, and audit safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)compliance Plan and schedule employee training (safety, food safety, GMP, equipment, etc.) Ensure compliance to weekly work schedule(s) by maintenance staff Review downtime with maintenance team and ensure corrective action is taken Accept and promotes benefits of change Additional duties as required. Oversee and maintain the preventive maintenance (PM) program Assist the Maintenance Manager in monitoring and reporting of KPIs to ensure an overall equipment availability at goal Follow/promote GMP, HACCP Food Safety, and McCain's Environmental programs.

Qualifications

.

Licensed Industrial Mechanic or Industrial Electrician. A minimum of ten years of demonstrated mechanical experience. A self-motivated individual having above average organizational skills and attention-to detail, with a proven track record. Ability to effectively lead others. Effective Verbal and Written communication skills are essential. Prior experience working within SAP is a strong asset.

Compensation Package: $65,500.00 - $87,400.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
