Job Summary:



We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Mechanical Superintendent to join our team for few upcoming projects.

Responsibilities

:

Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, including foremans, subcontractors and labourers.

Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations

Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely completion

Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being performed according to quality standards

Monitor project budgets and expenses, making adjustments as necessary

Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns.

Provide guidance and support to crew, resolving any conflicts or challenges that may arise

Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, including daily reports, change orders, and RFIs

Qualifications:



Proven experience as a superintendent in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and processes

In-depth knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures in the commercial/institutional construction industry

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, and legislation Able to read and understand building specifications, blueprints, and other construction documentation Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to perform material and labour estimates Proven track record of analyzing project scope, cost, and schedule, and taking appropriate action to ensure the project is completed in a timely manner, on budget, and to all specifications and requirements Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders and subtrades Proven ability to take initiative and confirm the accuracy of information that is sent and received Adaptable and receptive to changing circumstances Effective time management skills Highly organized and able to prioritize responsibilities Able to consistently achieve targeted deliverables completely and accurately Superior leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external partners Effective at leading a team in high pressure situations Strong attention to detail General understanding of surveying, layout and elevations measurements, and controls Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Project
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Work Location: In person
