NOTE: While this opportunity is based in Burlington, this role will entail extensive travel, with the ability to work from home/remote while not on the road. As such, eligible candidates can be based anywhere in Canada or the US as long as they are open to 50% + local & international travel are legally able to travel freely on a CAN or US passport.

We are seeking an experienced construction and/or mechanical project leader with significant on-site leadership, site supervision, and/or project management experience for a unique & exciting opportunity with our client based in Burlington, ON.

Our client, a successful, recession-resistant manufacturer has a global customer base and a long list of upcoming installation/commissioning projects around the globe. They are in need of an Mechanical Site Supervisor, which is a dynamic, "no boredom" role involving 50-70% travel or more. This person will be the glue that holds everything together on site, ensuring all electrical and automation aspects of all projects are executed on time, on budget, and to the customer's satisfaction.

Candidates with extensive installation/commissioning experience in relevant manufacturing or heavy industrial spaces are highly desirable. Applicants MUST be comfortable travelling for half the year or more (and being well-compensated for it!), with the trade off of being able to work from home for the other half. Of course, travel is rather complicated in these unstable times, but our client is taking every measure to ensure the health and safety of all team members & is adhering tightly to all travel rules as outlined by respective governments of the countries they service.

Required Qualifications :

• 15 years+ experience in construction, fabrication and operations environments

• Significant on-site leadership experience

• PMP designation and strong project leadership experience

• Extensive installation/commissioning experience

• Background in mechanical engineering (min. Bachelor's Degree) preferred

• Must be willing and able to travel both locally and internationally

• Ability to develop strong client relationships and organizational skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, ERP/MRP systems and MS Project
