Description
Responsible for the detailed mechanical engineering scope of industrial and municipal water and wastewater systems as well as biological sludge incineration and digestion. The Project Engineer (PE) develops key documents and generates technical RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations for rotating equipment, vessels, valves and other mechanical equipment. The PE works with a cross-functional engineering and broader project team to deliver to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and process design of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring design quality, while meeting project schedule, budget, and customers' expectations.
Perform required calculations needed to specify equipment, including (but not limited to) general hydraulics, chemical feed systems, vessels/tanks, pumps, filters, blowers, compressed air systems, piping systems, valves and instrumentation.

50% Non technical of ogranzing, docmentation and vendor communication.
Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVE 1: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
MUST HAVE 2: 5 + years of design experience with Water Treatment or Waste Water as a Mechanical Engineer or Project Engineer
***not looking for drafters or designers, Engineering experience is required working on front end of Project.
- Other industries wil be accepted but not preffered such as Oil and Gas, Petrochemical.
MUST HAVE 3: Ability to read P&IDs and PFDs (including material balances). Must be able to work with hydaulic designs including calculations for sizing pumps, compressors, valves, and/ or tanks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $46.00/hr.
