The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Airframe Stress Engineer - Fatigue and
Damage Tolerance (f/m) to join our team at the aerostructure design office based in Mirabel (Quebec,
Canada), where you will study the structural integrity of components.
You will be part of the Stress Analysis team responsible for validating the structural integrity of the Airbus
A220. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other
and learning collectively.
Your role as an Airframe Stress Engineer - Fatigue and Damage Tolerance will be to analyze the damage
tolerance of the primary structural elements (PSE).
Your role
Perform and review durability and damage tolerance analyses on principal structural
elements (PSE)
Make recommandations on airframe design concepts and repairs
Develop fatigue spectrum
Validate damage tolerance analysis results with experimental data
Support the development of the aircraft maintenance manual in collaboration with the
Maintenance Engineering and Technical Publication groups
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure program and technical requirements and
methodologies are being complied with
Review suppliers' analysis and reports.
Prepare certification reports
A good command of the French and English languages (written and spoken) is required
Your skills and experience
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
You have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in metallic structures stress analysis,
mainly as a damage tolerance specialist
Knowledge of NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASTRO, CATIA V5, MS Office and Google Suite is
required
