The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking An Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student to join our Buildings department, located at our Edmonton, AB office. Reporting to the Team Lead this position will be eligible for a January through August term.

A day in the life:
  • Assist in the review of electrical or mechanical designs and drawings
  • Assist in providing technical advice to clients and project teams (consultants and contractors)
  • Learn to prepare client proposals, and construction documents
  • Assist in the evaluation of contractor performance to ensure project deliverables and quality standards are achieved
  • Make contributions to company knowledge management and practice systems
  • Learn and excel through daily project work
  • Other duties as assigned/required.
What you'll bring to WSP ...
  • 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Desire to work toward P.Eng designation
  • Ability to quickly identify and understand project issues and opportunities
  • A team player who thrives on working with other successful, energetic people
  • Excellent communicator, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Good initiative and attention to detail
