We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This hybrid role combines technical expertise in mechanical maintenance with leadership responsibilities for our production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment while also overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure production efficiency, equipment reliability, and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform weekly and monthlypreventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including saws, CNC machines, extruders, and assembly line machinery.
Lead and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of mechanical issues.
Develop and manage a preventative maintenance schedule to optimize equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Train, mentor, and support production team members in proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
Collaborate with Operations and Production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of materials.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and regulatory standards.
Quote and track maintenance metrics, costs, and equipment history to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in capital projects, including equipment upgrades and new machinery installation.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Millwright, or similar role in a manufacturing environment (window/door, building products, or related industry preferred).
2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Solid problem-solving skills and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage priorities and delegate effectively.
Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an asset.
Trade certification (e.g., Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or equivalent) preferred.
