RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Planner\'s primary objective is organizing and ensuring efficiency in the maintenance department while maximizing our material and personnel resources. They are responsible for overseeing work order quality and ensuring the work order management cycle remains efficient. The incumbent will also manage the mill\'s mechanical maintenance and service planning system.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance based on available staff and equipment
  • Develop and maintain accurate maintenance plans and service schedules in a changing environment, evaluating the team\'s work priorities
  • Oversee the work performed by maintenance crews and outside contractors as required to ensure a high quality result and completion in a timely manner
  • Analyze, summarize, and resolve departmental issues
  • Define the Maintenance Department\'s strategies to achieve objectives
  • Support operations during mechanical issues with production equipment
  • Ensure OHS standards and procedures are applied at all times
  • Perform mechanical supervisor duties when required
  • Be available for on-call operational work based on a predetermined schedule
Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS
  • College diploma or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or related fields
  • Experience in mechanical work planning in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong sense of time management to meet maintenance deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with various departments to ensure continuity of operations
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions in critical situations
  • Ability to assume supervisory or management duties
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft\xc2\xae Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint, Outlook)

The starting range for this role is is $72,000 to $96,000 or higher, depending on your experience
