Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the tender process by accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of plumbing and HVAC practices, and the ability to effectively communicate.

Duties

Analyze mechanical plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates. Utilize take off software to create accurate pricing. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines. Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Price materials, labor, and equipment needed for projects while ensuring competitive bids. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing options. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference. Review and update estimates based on project changes or client requests. Additional duties as required.

Skills

Proficiency in estimating techniques and methodologies. Familiarity with mechanical takeoff software for cost estimation processes. Strong knowledge of project management principles related to construction projects. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors. Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments.

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
