Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, utilizing tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, and possess project management skills. Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to gather essential data and clarify project objectives. Calculate and prepare comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems using estimating tools such as Auto Bid, Bluebeam, and Excel. Analyze material, labor, and equipment needs for each project and identify areas for cost-saving through value engineering. Present well-structured proposals and cost breakdowns to internal teams and clients, either virtually or in-person. Maintain and update a detailed database of material and labor costs to ensure ongoing estimating accuracy and efficiency. Participate actively in company-provided training programs to enhance technical knowledge and sales acumen.

Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of

mechanical and/or refrigeration systems and applicable building codes.

High proficiency in

reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.

Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Skilled in the use of

estimating software (Auto Bid), markup tools (Bluebeam), and Microsoft Excel.

Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Journeyman certification in Sheet Metal/HVAC or Plumbing would be an asset.

Proven experience in a mechanical estimating role within the commercial or institutional sectors.

Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) integration is considered an asset

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

8 hour shift Monday to Friday
