Job Description

Andrew Cooper Incorporated is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineering Technologist to support field operations manufacturing activities and asset lifecycle work across multiple locations. This role operates as the ASET counterpart to the Engineer in Training and works closely with EITs Professional Engineers technicians and manufacturing staff.This is not a desk based technologist role.

The position combines hands on technical work field support and manufacturing assistance with a strong emphasis on occupational health and safety and accurate technical documentation.

Work Schedule

Project based schedule with flexibility depending on manufacturing workload field assignments and travel. Work is managed based on deliverables and operational needs rather than fixed daily hours.

Primary Responsibilities

Travel with EITs technologists or engineering staff to support field inspections commissioning and maintenance activities Assist with manufacturing processes assembly and modification of engineered equipment Collect field measurements photographs observations and operational data Support commissioning verification and follow up under engineering direction Document work accurately and upload information into the company CES system Support asset tracking inspection records and compliance documentation Identify hazards risks or unsafe conditions and escalate immediately Work in accordance with company safety policies and procedures at all times Coordinate with manufacturing technicians welders and shop staff as required.

Occupational health and safety is the top priority for this role.

The Mechanical Engineering Technologist is expected to:

Follow all safety policies procedures and site requirements participate in safety meetings inspections and hazard assessments stop work and escalate any unsafe condition immediately promote a safety first culture in both shop and field environments.

Technical and Professional Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent Registered with ASET or eligible for registration entry level candidates are encouraged to apply strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn ability to read drawings specifications and work instructions comfort working in manufacturing shop and industrial field environments ability to travel and work as part of a technical team valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

preferred Experience

Manufacturing maintenance or industrial exposure experience working alongside engineers or EITs Familiarity with digital systems tablets or mobile data collection strong communication and documentation skills

Professional Development

This role supports progression within the ASET framework toward Certified Technician or Professional Technologist designation where applicable.

The position is structured to build judgment responsibility and field competence while working in coordination with EITs and under engineering oversight.

Compensation

Annual salary of forty eight thousand dollars per year.

Benefits

Benefits eligibility is available after six months of employment for employees who meet the company definition of full time status.
