Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist Engineers, Estimators, and Project Managers with HVAC projects in the industrial and light industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Build relationships with customers and internal team mates Respond in a timely fashion to customer inquiries Create/design solutions that meet customer requirements in a cost effective, timely manner that conform to engineering principles Review with Division Manager and Senior Engineer prior to submitting quotes to ensure rates and mark ups are sufficient. Understand and become expert at all relevant & required software Understanding or defining the contract & scope clearly and thoroughly Convey all information to the Project manager, Field & Site Superintendents Assist admin in putting together a Job package with all pertinent information Submit shop drawings as required Attend kick off meetings where required Head up VETS kick off/turnover meetings Attend site meetings as required to support VETS onsite personnel Help resolve site issues or contract issues as required Assist purchaser and PM with ordering materials for Job and coordinate for ship to site dates, the site super or foreman will also be involved in this Act as an advisor for job related Communicate directly with, Project Manager, Detailer, Field Superintendent, Shop Foreman. Bid extra's to contract or change orders as required Assist Accounting and Project Manager to prepare monthly progress claims and final billing as required Assist in field measuring to create design build project drawings Review design criteria for projects to meet applicable building codes and NFPA regulations Actively participate in the ongoing review and improvement of Vets systems and processes

Qualifications:

Industrial or Commercial HVAC design knowledge an asset

Project lead experience is preferred

1-3 years of relevant experience

Construction, project management, and estimating experience is an asset

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Diploma

Member of APEGA (preferred)

E.T Designation (preferred)

Knowledge of HVAC related equipment

Highly Proficient at blue print reading

High level of experience in many aspects of the trade (well rounded knowledge)

Knowledge of CAD and drafting software and procedures
