Mechanical Engineering Technologist

with strong CAD expertise to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Inventor to develop precise 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication. Generate accurate NC1 and DXF files for production, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes. Read and interpret shop drawings, engineering specifications, and customer requirements to produce high-quality designs. Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure designs meet project needs. Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, to support drafting activities and project documentation. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all drawings. Manage multiple projects effectively, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor is essential. Experience with nesting software is considered an asset. Strong understanding of structural and mechanical design principles related to steel fabrication. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications accurately. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Highly organized with excellent time management skills to prioritize workload effectively. High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work. Must have dependable transportation.
