This is a 4 month summer student role that begins May 2024.

What you will do:

• Assist the department with a variety of duties, including:

• Design, analysis, and modeling of new and upgraded mechanical components
• Assist Mechanical Integrity Engineer with planned inspection and repair of mechanical assets.
• Project work, encompassing scope definition, tender document creation and ongoing support of contracts
• Perform in field task support, troubleshooting, and failure analysis

What you will bring:

• Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
• You are available to work 40 hours/week from May to August, 2023
• Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
• Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience
