We are looking for a

Mechanical Engineering Intern

to join our team; preferably located in Lethbridge, Alberta. The ideal candidate is someone who is seeking to learn Revit and motivated to learn about mechanical building systems. A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in modeling and design of plumbing, fire protection and HVAC systems as well as construction administration. This individual must be a self-starter that is capable of learning new skills and seeks help.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in design of mechanical building systems directly in Revit/CAD; adhering to company BIM/CAD standards.

2. Develop layouts and design of mechanical building systems such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning, fire protection systems, plumbing and draining systems, and specialized plumbing systems (natural gas, fuel oil, medical gas, etc.) Coordinate with other disciples as required.

3. Prepare equipment schedules that are project specific. Coordinate with necessary project consultants to review equipment.

4. Work with clash/coordination reports, assisting with model audits and overall health of the model.

5. Any other tasks assigned by Principals or Project Managers required to assist in the completion.

6. Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment driven by project deadlines.

7. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients.

8. Able to work independently, as well as contribute to the team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
