Primary Objective: Responsible for the development and management of assigned project work during all phases, from inception through planning, design and construction, in accordance with the project scope, schedule and budget. Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with the preparation of drawings and schematics \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with other consulting disciplines to ensure drawing integrity and completeness \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with project team and Project Manager to ensure on-time project completion \xe2\x80\xa2 Escalate resource issues to the appropriate Project Manager \xe2\x80\xa2 Review architectural and structural drawings \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with contractors and respond to technical inquiries \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical and administrative support through all phases of the project \xe2\x80\xa2 Help establish and promote client relationships \xe2\x80\xa2 Strive to ensure quality and timely delivery of finished products to clients \xe2\x80\xa2 Overtime as required Qualifications, Experience and Education: \xe2\x80\xa2 Completion of post-secondary education in a related field such as Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or Building Systems Technology.

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience. \xe2\x80\xa2 New grad with relevant co-op and academic work experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Background developing construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiar with bid and tendering process \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience working with customers and client base \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience working in a team based environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in site investigations and construction review is considered an asset. Required Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of Canadian Engineering standards \xe2\x80\xa2 High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent time management skills and project management skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work under pressure. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented. \xe2\x80\xa2 Team and customer service-focused. \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible.
