RIC Power Corp., a manufacturer of medium voltage switchgear, including protection and control systems, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join its team in Burnaby, BC. The Engineer/Designer will design switchgear while ensuring the mechanical design aspects of a project are completed following design guidelines and practices set out by the RIC Quality Management System. Key Responsibilities:
- Complete mechanical design of switchgear
- Prepare drawing packages for quote/order
- Prepare shop floor packages for production
- Extreme attention to detail
- SolidWorks, PDM, DraftSight, MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of design/production
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Amount of re-work required by shop floor
- Able to meet critical deadlines
- Accuracy of customer drawings
- Engineering degree or diploma (AScT.)
- 5+ years of electrical design experience (inc. switchgear) to CSA/IEEE standards
- Dental care
