Job Summary

Tigris Engineering is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Drafter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the design, drafting, and coordination of mechanical systems across a range of projects, working closely with senior engineers and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare mechanical design drawings and layouts (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) Develop detailed construction drawings, schematics, and schedules Assist with mechanical calculations, load estimates, and equipment selection Coordinate designs with electrical, structural, and architectural teams Review drawings for compliance with applicable codes and standards Support design revisions based on client, authority, or site feedback Participate in design meetings and internal coordination reviews
Requirements

For Mechanical Engineer:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 2-5+ years of relevant MEP design experience Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems Familiarity with local and international codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.)
For Mechanical Drafter:

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting 2+ years of mechanical drafting experience Strong knowledge of construction drawings and detailing
Technical Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) Revit MEP experience is an advantage Basic knowledge of HVAC design software is a plus Good understanding of engineering documentation and workflows
Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team environment Good communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
