Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Zaber is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with experience in mechanical design and manufacturing to join our Production Engineering Team. This role primarily focuses on automating and improving our assembly procedures for electromechanical devices. You will provide input for the design and introduction of new products.
You will join a small Production Engineering team that is focused on creating and improving high-quality production equipment and processes. With support from experienced colleagues, you will collaborate on cross-functional teams to solve a variety of interesting and challenging problems.
Zaber designs and manufactures high-precision positioning devices and motion control systems. Your work is an essential part of improving our efficiency, productivity, and quality. You'll contribute to our success by designing and supporting our production systems and processes.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
Design, fabricate, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce components and assemblies with unique requirements. Work with product designers to transition new products from development into production. Develop innovative test equipment for measuring the performance of precision motion control devices in a production environment. Troubleshoot product and equipment issues spanning from mechanical, electrical, and programmatic faults. Provide engineering support for other operations teams at Zaber.
You're the ideal Mechanical Engineer if you have:
Minimum of 3 years experience in product design, mechanical design, or manufacturing environments. A degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Experience prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent projects with diverse stakeholders.
Mechanical Engineer Wage
The starting wage for the role is $31 - $56/hour depending on experience.
