Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test mechanical devices, including tools, engines, and machines.
Create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
Analyze problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve them.
Develop and test prototypes of devices they design.
Oversee the manufacturing process for mechanical systems.
Monitor and improve mechanical processes and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation for mechanical designs and systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
