Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Description
This Position is with the Production Team - Tooling and Fixtures with a Nuclear Pharma Company. This Position will be focused on designing of tooling and fixtures for Nuclear Focused Products used in Irradiation and Treatment of disease.
Reporting to the Manager, Package & Support Engineering, you will be responsible for the design, testing and on-going technical and manufacturing support of sealed sources and transport packages used for the shipment of radioisotopes.
You will work closely with the group responsible for the production of sealed radioactive sources used in sterilization applications, and the group responsible for the operation and maintenance of transport packages.
Key Responsibilities

• Apply a fully proficient and in-depth knowledge of engineering principles and standards.
• Participate in various aspects of the design, licensing and manufacture of sealed sources and transport packages. This will include the design process; coordinating prototype manufacture; review and approval of engineering drawings, preparation of engineering analysis and calculations, creating test specifications, coordinating and executing testing; compiling results and generating reports; designing or modifying production processes and equipment.
• Stay current with the requirements for and capabilities of manufacturing processes and equipment for sealed sources in order to respond to queries from operations and other internal customers.

Requirements:

• 2+ Years of mechanical design experience
• Over 1 year of tooling and fixtures design experience
• Experience working in an environment with heavy regulations
• Experience working in an environment with a lot of documentation

Assets:

• Solidworks experience
• Heavy Documentation experience
• Team Player

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Kanata, ON. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $56.00/hr. Workplace Type
This is a hybrid position in Kanata,ON.
