Mechanical Engineer





The Mechanical Engineer will develop and design mechanical products and systems in compliance with regulations and standards as dictated by the customer's location. The Mechanical Engineer will be customer focused to provide product revisions, service solutions and troubleshoot production concerns and customers equipment on site.

Ensure that designs meet applicable international standards, code regulation and internal procedures and conduct final inspection and recommend acceptance or rejection of completed designs. Provide support to the product through its life cycle, including manufacturing and technical assistance, installation, cost savings initiatives and design improvements. Create and maintain technical reports, documentation, calculations, sketches and electronic drawings and files using CREO, step, dxf. Assist with the development and review of engineering processes, engineering standards and equipment specifications. Maintain up-to-date engineering knowledge and stay current with industry trends and best practices. Participate in department training programs. Effectively schedule, prioritize and manage tasks to meet commitments of internal and external customers. Deploy new products and participate on installations.

Qualifications:




Bachelor in Engineering - EIT, however Mechanical Engineering -P.Eng is preferred. (Working towards EIT or registered P.Eng from another province.)


5-10 years of experience in a Mechanical role with hands on experience is preferred. Technical and practical understanding of transmission, lifting devices, structural components, material properties. Troubleshoot and organizational skills, team worker, reading/understanding of drawings and 3D modelling in CREO or similar. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to think critically. Excellent grasp of diverse, fundamental mechanical engineering concepts and relationships. Strong mathematical skills. Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans. Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing are desirable. Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision. Understanding of safety international standards.
