Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Infrastructure Projects, the Mechanical Engineer will oversee the planning, design, and construction activities of various concurrent renovation projects throughout all the Sheridan campuses, in coordination with internal and external partners. The mechanical engineer will provide subject matter expertise for technical and engineering planning for Sheridan's buildings, infrastructure, systems and general campus to realize net-zero targets for energy, water, and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as variety of circular-economy objectives. The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the development of mechanical scope for building retrofits, infrastructure replacement, capital renewal, and campus development projects, provide input to institutional policies, procedures, and practices to ensure continuous improvement, optimization, and ongoing commissioning of building and district energy systems. As a subject matter expert, the incumbent provides support and technical guidance on facility operations, capital projects, and renovations.
