About the Role

We are seeking a

Mechanical Engineer Supervisor

to lead a dynamic team of mechanical engineers and technicians in the design, development, and maintenance of complex mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is an experienced, bilingual professional with a strong background in

dynamic (moving) structures, motors, and electro-mechanical assemblies

, and is a

registered member of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec (OIQ)

.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and drafters Oversee the design and testing of mechanical systems involving motion, including motors, actuators, and kinetic structures Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry codes Participate in hands-on problem-solving during prototyping, installation, and commissioning phases Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams Review and approve technical documentation, CAD models, and drawings Monitor project progress and provide technical guidance to ensure milestones are met Support continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes and product performance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's an asset)

Member in good standing of the OIQ (Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec)

Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role Proven expertise in

dynamic systems, moving assemblies, motors, or motion control

Strong knowledge of mechanical design tools (SolidWorks, or similar) Experience with FEA, tolerance analysis, and reliability testing Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Bilingual (French and English)

Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
