to lead the development of automated manufacturing lines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional machine design skills, an organized mindset, the ability to work independently, and possess a broad skill set related to the development of automated industrial robotic manufacturing lines.

Mechatronics D.S. offers turnkey development of complex automated equipment and robotic manufacturing lines. We are a small team of engineers, technicians, and mechanical designers determined to create top-quality automated manufacturing lines with a significant impact on our clients' businesses. Our services include process automation, equipment design, control and electrical engineering, production trials, robotic integration, and site implementation.

R&D of environmentally friendly plant-based textiles and meat alternatives. Robotic applications for supporting artisan chocolatiers. High speed robotic checkweigher of precious metals. Industrial manufacturing: automated assembly, punching, cutting. Integration of AI-based equipment effectiveness monitoring data collection terminals. Carbon fiber manufacturing for high performance footwear. Novel and automated agriculture for vertical farms. Automated industrial food manufacturing, including omelets, crepes, and tortillas Robotic machine tending.
Salary Range $70,000-$100,000 per year.

Required Qualifications:

We ask candidates to apply only if they possess all the required qualifications.

University degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent. Natural problem solver with a positive can-do attitude. Able to lead, effective communication, organization, and decision-making skills.

Desired Experience:

Project management experience leading a $100k+ contract. System level understanding of industrial PLC control, actuators, and robotics. Demonstrated experience with machine development: requirement definition, conceptual design, 3D modeling/drafting, vendor coordination, assembly, commissioning, and starting up. Experience integrating a wide range of technologies into complex systems: mechanism, actuators, sensors, and structural components. Client facing experience. Mentoring Experience. Knowledge of hygienic equipment design and standards. Knowledge of machine guarding. (CSA Z432-16) Hands-on experience in assembly, machining, sheet metal fabrication, prototyping.
