EFI is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm providing services to customers in the industrial, commercial, and residential sectors in Canada and the United States. With a strong presence in both Canada and the United States, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer/Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor, and the ability to work collaboratively on complex projects. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Design and Drafting: Utilize AutoCAD and Inventor to design and draft mechanical components, systems, and assemblies for industrial and manufacturing applications. \xc2\xb7 Cross-Border Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly across the Canada-US border, participating in projects that may require travel between locations as needed. \xc2\xb7 Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians to deliver innovative solutions to clients. \xc2\xb7 Project Management: Manage and coordinate design projects, ensuring tasks are completed within allotted hours and project timelines are met. \xc2\xb7 Industrial and Manufacturing Expertise: Apply knowledge of industrial and manufacturing processes to develop efficient and cost-effective designs. \xc2\xb7 Client Interaction: Interact with clients to understand project requirements, present design concepts, and provide regular project updates. \xc2\xb7 Quality Assurance: Ensure that designs meet industry standards and client specifications, with a strong focus on quality and safety. \xc2\xb7 Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to communicate design concepts and project progress effectively. \xc2\xb7 Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to contribute to the company\'s growth and innovation. \xc2\xb7 Participates in project meetings as required and deliver on requirements. \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. \xc2\xb7 2-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor for 2D and 3D design. \xc2\xb7 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and presentation abilities. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of cross-border work and willingness to travel when required. \xc2\xb7 Previous experience working in industry or with a consulting firm is a plus. \xc2\xb7 Strong sense of safety and safe work practices EFI Engineering offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, and professional development opportunities.
