Nuclear Engineering
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and be adept at utilizing various engineering software and tools, particularly those relevant to nuclear facility design and operation. This critical role is essential for the design, development, and implementation of innovative mechanical systems and components within environments that require strict regulatory compliance and security protocols. The successful candidate must hold a
OPG or Bruce Power Security Clearance
and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, high-reliability engineering solutions that meet stringent project specifications and timelines.
Duties
Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as
SolidWorks
and
Creo
.
Apply
nuclear engineering principles
to the design and analysis of systems, focusing on radiation shielding, thermal hydraulics, and material compatibility for nuclear environments.
Create detailed schematics and drafting documents to support manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to
nuclear safety standards
.
Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for system automation and control, particularly within critical safety systems.
Conduct system design analysis, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations (e.g., NRC, DOE), and
security requirements
.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes for high-reliability components.
Employ
MATLAB
for data analysis, modeling, and simulation of complex mechanical and
nuclear systems
.
Implement
LabVIEW
for automated testing and measurement applications in controlled environments.
Work with CNC machinery to produce precision components as per specifications.
Maintain thorough, classified documentation of design processes, changes, and project updates in accordance with
security clearance protocols
.
