Job Description

We are looking for an

Intermediate Mechanical Designer

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have engineering experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment--such as a startup--and hold a degree in a relevant engineering field from a college or university.

This role requires strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, a solid understanding of the full product development lifecycle, and hands-on experience with

electromechanical systems

. You will be involved from early-stage design through to final product deployment, collaborating with teams across engineering, prototyping, and production.

Responsibilities



Design, build, and test prototype parts and assemblies for electromechanical systems Collaborate with Industrial Design to translate concepts into manufacturable and functional designs Work closely with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals Inspect and verify incoming mechanical components to ensure compliance with design specifications Maintain and update design documentation (CAD, drawings, BOMs) for both new and existing products Support early-stage production, including first builds, test planning, and troubleshooting Assist in cost estimation and tracking, and monitor project timelines and deliverables Contribute to sustaining engineering efforts, including design improvements and issue resolution on deployed products

Qualifications



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills required (

SolidWorks preferred

) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Comfortable working in a

multidisciplinary environment

, collaborating with electrical, industrial, and manufacturing teams Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and thrive in a

fast-paced, iterative

development environment Strong attention to detail in both design and documentation Experience with prototyping and hands-on mechanical work is an asset Familiarity with product development cycles, manufacturing methods, and DFM/DFA principles is a plus
