The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on mechanical professional who thrives on precision and quality. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and performance of our mechanical systems. Approximately
50% of your time will be dedicated to inspection
, making this a quality-heavy role embedded directly in the manufacturing and build environment.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working on the shop floor, inspecting, assembling, and supporting mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical components and assemblies, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to quality and inspection activities
Implement and support quality control processes to ensure adherence to specifications and tolerances
Use precision measuring tools and equipment to verify mechanical accuracy and quality standards
Perform minor machining, rework, or adjustments using lathes and milling machines as required
Assemble mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and build teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
Document inspection results, quality findings, and process improvements accurately
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a strong emphasis on quality control and inspection.
Strong hands-on inspection experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment
Experience working with lathes, mills, and shop-floor machining equipment
Solid understanding of mechanical assemblies, including hydraulics and pneumatics
Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, quality-driven approach
Experience with quality control practices and precision measurement tools
Familiarity with tool & die or machinist principles is highly desirable
Proficiency with basic computer tools, including Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
