We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Mechanical Engineer for our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be driven, resourceful, innovative and demonstrate effective team leadership and team-building abilities. They will be proficient evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

In this role you will work closely with the other members of the team to see projects through from design to fabrication, and to provide product support for existing equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing new product designs and making improvements to existing products.

- Developing product support literature and resources to support current and future equipment operators

- Providing troubleshooting support for existing equipment, and answer customer inquiries as needed

- Preparing models and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks

- Validating product designs with supporting calculations, FEA, and test plans

- Coordinating with shop staff, vendors and contractors

- Contributing to team meetings to improve designs

Qualifications

- Mechanical engineering degree or diploma

- Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.) or Member in Training (E.I.T.) or C.E.T. with membership with APEGA or ASET

- Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software

- 3+ Years of relevant experience - Prior experience in a design related role is a requirement, with preference for experience with oilfield service equipment.

- Familiarity with API standards (API Q1, API 4F, etc) is an asset

- Familiarity with welding symbols and processes, standard manufacturing industry practices, fabrication techniques, and materials used

- Team mindset, with strong communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
