Mechanical Engineer, Custom Metal Enclosures
Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer, Custom Metal Enclosures is responsible for designing products and their corresponding manufacturing processes for use in Data Centers. This role ensures a smooth transition from design to large-scale manufacturing with a focus on performance, quality, and cost. The incumbent validates and supports design concepts, proposes and implements technical solutions for manufacturing, leads testing procedures, and produces models or prototypes optimized for efficient production.
Key responsibilities
1. Engineering Activities Throughout the Product Life Cycle
Serve as a technical expert and provide guidance from concept through production.
2. Product Development and Prototyping
Participate in structured product development processes, including research an
development of prototypes and special projects.
3. Testing and Quality Assurance
Set up test equipment, conduct product testing, and manage the resolution of quality issues, non-conformities, and NCRs.
4. Production Support
Provide ongoing technical support for production, resolve problems, improve yields, and lead cost-reduction/value-engineering (VE) initiatives.
The position can be remote
Candiates that do not have 3+ years of Mecnical Engineering experience, specifically for the Data Center industry will not be considered.
