Position: Mechanical Engineer

We are a fast-growing company with a new opening for a Mechanical Engineer Position. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing mechanical design duties and creation and of drawings in 3D and 2D.

Responsibilities

Plan new product design and development projects and execute accordingly. Prepare detailed model concepts from design ideas for the development of new products. Perform engineering calculations and FEA Analysis during the design process to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Develop engineering models, prototypes and test set ups. Perform tolerance stack up analysis to have no issues in assembly and final fit. Create, revise, and organize production drawings and documentation using both AutoCAD and Inventor for manufacturing and assembly. Assist in the development of Technical Manuals for new and existing products. Support QMS initiatives by conforming to processes and procedures.
Produce engineering designs and solutions that balance cost, quality and project schedule.

Work effectively within a small but highly professional team of Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Team.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Structural background an asset. 2-4 years design experience in a mechanical/manufacturing field and in new product development. Licensed Professional Engineer an asset, or P Eng designation. Proficient in Autodesk Inventor 3D and AutoCAD. Capacity of mechanical calculation and analysis of components and system. Experience using finite element analysis or similar engineering design software. Project management experience an asset. Excellent communication skills including oral and written communication. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
