Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering design and estimating in residential high-rise and commercial projects. This is a full time role, the selected candidate will be responsible for performing technical drawings and computer-aided design (CAD) tasks. They will review design documents, prepare detailed schematic and sleeving drawings for the site team, work with consultants, identify potential VE savings, and support estimators in material and labour take-offs.

Qualifications:

Technical drawings, Communication, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills Experience in mechanical engineering design Must have minimum 5 years experience in residential high-rise and commercial projects Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and accuracy Estimating take-offs Use of Accubid Bidwinner software Ability to work effectively in team environment Degree/diploma in mechanical engineering or related field Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical systems and design in the construction field

Responsibilities

Prepare sleeving drawings using CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Create detailed schematics and drafting documents for project specific applications. Collaborate with construction team to analyze system designs and ensure compliance with industry standards. Estimate project costs and timelines, providing accurate assessments for bidding and budgeting purposes. Utilize premium tools like Revit and MicroStation to enhance design accuracy and efficiency. Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and address any design/construction challenges.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
