Mechanical Designer/Drafter




YOUR MISSION OF EXCELLENCE




Reporting to the project engineer, you will be responsible for producing a variety of drawings (buildings, tools, equipment, templates) and participating in plant-related projects.


WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH




Propose mechanical designs based on the constraints defined by the engineering team; Create technical drawings from sketches and guidelines; Design 2D and 3D drawings for buildings, products, and equipment; Manage and organize the classification of digital drawings using the drawing library; Take field measurements and building surveys; Gather technical information on machine components and production equipment; Update drawing files and make necessary corrections; Make technical recommendations to optimize machinery; Produce all drawings, renderings, and visual supports for design and presentation purposes.

THE IDEAL PROFILE




College diploma (DEC) in Industrial Drafting or Mechanical Engineering, or a vocational diploma (DEP) in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or Industrial Drafting; 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in design and drafting; Good knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Suite (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.), SolidWorks; Autonomous and proactive; Ability to work independently or as part of a team; Analytical mindset; Organized, independent, and detail-oriented; Knowledge of both metric and imperial measurement systems; Good manual dexterity; Knowledge of functional dimensioning and geometric tolerancing.
